Ben Kruisdijk-Rontgen Etchings
Images from www.theanatomist.org/ben-kruisdijk
These are images from a dutch artist named Ben Kruisdijk, these images are from an exhibition called 'Rontgen Etchings'.He uses X-Ray scan photographs as a canvas for his intricate and proportionally correct etchings of birds, small animals and insects. The detailed hand drawn pictures change the whole feeling and perception of the work. The X-Rays he uses contain some quite serious illnesses and procedures, including broken bones and brain tumours. This work links in quite well with Lucy's.Both her and Kruisdijk's work involve animals in quite a dark and maybe sinister manner with each coming from a contrasting angle. The drawing aspect interests me also as the images look to be either scratched or etched into the photograph's.

Peter Callesen is a Danish artist who produces sculptures made entirely from just paper, even more incredibly he uses the paper he cut from and nothing else but glue and a pencil. His subject matter ranges from animals, people, insects, buildings and patterns. His work can be both from very simple and also extremely detailed and accurate.
I feel Callesen's work ties in quite well with Lucy's,a large proportion of her work involves the use of paper or card, then manipulating this using a variety of techniques to create a uniqueoutcome.
Callesen's work is very expressive and fascinatingly different to any sort of work I've seen before. The way he contrasts and mixes both 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional is uncomparable and completely original.

Lucy May Schofield-Bibliotherapy
This is an image of Lucy's travelling bibliotherapy.Lucy photographed the van and then printed it onto a canvas which could be wrapped around her own car as a makeshift place in which she could continue her bibliotherapy.

I chose to look at an artist named Jeff Wall as I find his work both interesting and completely original, both in the concept and the piece itself.Wall bases his work on real people and real life situations that he has witnessed. The piece 'Mimic' is one of his most well known and depicts a moment which Wall decided to recreate. His work is personal but involves other people which I think is quite similiar to that of Lucy's,in the same way that Lucy's bibliotherapy work involves the general public and their personal problems, worries or angst's.Jeff Wall's work is a statement of a moment that he has seen or endured.
Armani 5th Ave store,New York
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T48HBFrnB4Q
This is a short time lapse video documenting the construction of a feature piece of the Armani store in New York. The video features the building and installation of a staircase,it has two functions as it serves it's purpose as a staircase in a way of getting up and down between the two levels. But is also used as a centrepiece for the store.
I find this interesting as it shows the stages and processes in which it was being built

I find this image really interesting, and it's from an advertising campaign for the World Wildlife Fund. The detail and intricate shapes make this a really interesting piece.

I think these images are a good example of some transient spaces, they provide me with a good basis in which to look at investigating a transient space for Lucy's bibliotherapy.I feel as though I need to look at all aspects and gather more information on Lucy's bibliotherapy in order to get a better understanding of what ideas are vaiable.
These are some images I gathered of transient spaces,I have decided to look at a variety of spaces that can be moved and altered to a specific area or environment. As I researched further I quickly found out that this fell into many catagories such as food, retail, health and leisure.
Two similiar vehicles/vans could be used for many different areas of society. An example of this would be a burger van or trailer could be used as an NHS health bus.The versatility of transient spaces is a unique selling point.

These pieces are by an American photographer named Diane Arbus. Her work is mainly concentrated on the odd and the surreal.
I find her work really unique and different in the way that the subject matter is very unusual, there is an underlying feeling of unease and darkness in her work, which is quite similiar to that of Lucy's.
